From zero to Savant

Savant takes every small part of learning, from where you start and what comes next to how each lesson is explained, the examples it uses and when each skill comes back for review, and tunes it to how you learn and what you are interested in. The result is the most efficient path from knowing nothing to mastering it.

In a small beta now. Approved beta testers use it completely free.

Same lesson. Two learners.

The same idea, taught two ways: each learner gets examples from what they care about, at their own pace, with the next step chosen from how they are doing.

Measured first, then taught.

Most study apps start everyone at lesson one, or take your word for where you are. Savant checks, so you do not grind through what you already know or get lost in what you are not ready for.

A short adaptive quizIt finds your level
Questions adjust to your answers until they find where you are. You start at that level, and units you have already shown you know are skipped. An optional subject quiz can pick the right grade first.
Per learnerIt builds the path for you
The order and mix of lessons, games, quizzes and activities is chosen for each learner. One person may need one activity for a topic; another may need twenty.
Timed to your memoryIt brings skills back before they fade
Savant tracks how well you remember each skill and brings it back just before you would forget it. Something that is starting to slip comes back sooner; something solid waits longer.
Before a learner reads itIt checks what it teaches
Lessons are checked claim by claim against sources before they are served. Where research is mixed, or a point is opinion, the lesson says so.

Built on research, not guesswork. Each of Savant's main ideas comes from decades of learning science. See the studies behind them; the full review, with over 500 verified sources, stays private until launch.

Any subject, built for you.

When Savant is released, it will be able to build an optimal curriculum for any subject you want to learn, with every lesson 100% fact-checked against credible sources. The nine subjects below are the ones already fully built and now in testing. Each is a ladder of grades, from a first look to research level; a grade here is a band of knowledge, not a school year.

Newest. Chess, piano and basketball were added most recently, and some of their hands-on activities are still being finished.

In the works, not finished yet. Coding, art, and emotional intelligence and confidence are being built next. Later: a voice tutor, study groups, iPhone and Android apps, and the app itself in languages other than English, starting with Spanish.

What to expect

An early version. Some things will break, and after levels you will be asked what you liked and what you did not. That feedback is the point of the beta.

Some features send what you write to outside AI services to answer or mark it. The app's privacy policy lists them, and you see it before you start.

For investors.

Savant is built by one founder. Hiring starts after investment. This is where it stands today, and what is still a plan.

Built
Nine subjects with 219 grades between them, adaptive placement, per-learner paths, spaced review, and a fact-checking pipeline for every lesson. In testing with a small group.
Next
A beta with friends, family and applicants, measuring scores before and after, retention against learners on a path that is not tailored, and engagement.
Revenue, planned
A free tier and two paid tiers, plus plans for schools and learning centres, including one where a school brings its own curriculum and each student still gets a tailored path. Prices are not set.
Data
Learner data is never sold.
